“Metal Festival.” What is this madness. What's with this poster. At first glance, it looks familiar. Those iconic fonts, those legendary logos, all those legendary bands that have been a part of our lives.
Except the bands on the poster are actually metals. Metals that resonate like a guitar riff. From Led Zep to Red Hot, from Motorhead to Metallica, via Korn and Linkin Park.
We’ve replaced every chemical element with the logo of a rock or metal band. The result is a funny and brilliant tribute to fifty years of rock culture.
Lapolemik has always loved playing with popular culture, its images, its myths, its logos etched into the collective memory. This illustration is a love letter to rock, to metal, to everyone who grew up with festival posters plastered on their walls and riffs ringing in their ears.
